Former Stryker (NYSE:SYK) CEO Stephen MacMillan had nothing but praise for successor Kevin Lobo, whose appointment to the corner office at the orthopedic giant was announced today.

Medical device maker Stryker (NYSE:SYK) issued a recall for its Neptune Rover waste management systems after reports of serious injuries that resulted in 1 patient death.
Stryker originally issued the recall in June, but expanded the motion to include additional models of the Neptune system after the FDA deemed the devices adulterated under U.S. law.
Stryker settles derivatives suits for $1.5M
Stryker (NYSE:SYK) agreed to pay $1.5 million in legal fees to settle a pair of derivatives lawsuits filed by shareholders in 2010.
The Kalamazoo, Mich.-based medical device company admitted no wrongdoing in the settlement, but agreed to institute reforms aimed at preventing future regulatory and legal problems.
