The new continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) full face mask features soft, breathable fabric. Resmed said it designed the new mask to help more people start and stay on CPAP therapy. CEO Mick Farrell spoke about the benefits of a fabric mask in a recent interview with MassDevice.
AirTouch F30i Comfort already launched in Australia and Canada. San Diego-based Resmed says the U.S. launch reinforces the company’s focus on advancing comfort-led CPAP innovation worldwide.
The new mask builds on the AIrTouch F30i Clear, featuring an ultra compact design, fabric cushion and fully fabric-wrapped frame. Altogether, it’s designed to deliver an elevated comfort experience.
(Chief Product Officer Justin Leong spoke to Medical Design & Outsourcing in 2024 about some of the company’s latest mask technology. Read about it here.)
Features include the patented ComfiSoft cushion and frame with breathable, moisture-wicking fabric. The company says it delivers maximum comfort without compromising on seal. Meanwhile, the mask combines durability, softness and flexibility to gently contour to the face.
The company developed the AirTouch F30i Comfort using thousands of digital biomarkers to help provide. tailored fit. Its AdaptiSeal technology combines fabric and silicone to adapt to the face for a secure seal that moves with you as you sleep. It also has availability in three cushion sizes (small-wide, medium and large) and three frame sizes (small, standard and large).
Resmed says that AirTouch F30i Comfort also complements the track record of the AirTouch N30i. That fabric-wrapped nasal cushion mask also features a fabric-wrapped frame. The company launched that mask in 2024.
Beginning today, Resmed has made the new mask available across the U.S. It also offers it in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The mask pairs with the company’s AirCurve 11, AirSense 11, AirCurve 10, AirSense 10, S9 Autoset and select VPAP devices.
“At Resmed, we’re focused on designing health technologies that people want to use night after night,” said Leong. “That means designing masks that help make it easier for people to start and stay on CPAP therapy. With the AirTouch F30i Comfort, we’re extending our fabric-mask innovation to more patients, combining softness, breathability and performance to help people sleep better, breathe better and live healthier lives.”
