Inspire Medical
(NYSE: INSP)
announced today that it appointed Matt Osberg as its new EVP and chief financial officer (CFO).
Osberg succeeds Rick Buchholz, who announced last year that he planned to step down to pursue other opportunities. Buchholz’s departure went into effect in the new year, though he remains on board in an advisory role to support the transition.
Inspire said that Osberg brings experience as a C-suite financial executive, including more than 20 years in global financial leadership, corporate governance and strategic transformation across diverse industries and geographies. Most recently, he served as EVP and CFO at Apogee Enterprises in Minneapolis. Before that, he served as CFO at Helen of Troy in El Paso, Texas. Other roles included time spent at Best Buy and Ernst & Young.
Osberg’s start date is Jan. 19, 2026.
“We are very excited to have Matt Osberg join Inspire and bring his years of public company experience to take us through our next wave of growth as we continue the adoption of Inspire therapy globally,” said Inspire Medical Chair and CEO Tim Herbert. “Finally, we wish to thank Rick Buchholz for his many years at Inspire and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Inspire Medical also reports preliminary Q4 results
In addition to announcing Osberg’s appointment, Inspire Medical reported certain preliminary fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 results.
The company expects revenues for the fourth quarter to land between $268.9 million and $269.1 million. That would mark an approximately 12% increase over the same quarter a year ago. It also comes in ahead of Wall Street’s expectations for $262.3 million in sales.
Inspire expects full-year revenue between $911.8 million and $912 million for a 14% increase over 2024’s sales totals. For 2026, the company anticiaptes between $1.003 billion and $1.013 billion for another increase of 10%-11%.
“We are very pleased with our strong preliminary revenue performance in the fourth quarter as the team executed exceptionally well and finished the year with significant momentum,” said Herbert. “2025 was a transition year for the company with the launch of the Inspire V system, and momentum grew significantly throughout the second half of the year, and we are very proud of the strong acceptance of this fifth-generation Inspire system further evidenced by the safety and clinical evidence that was presented throughout the year.”
