The Philadelphia, Pa.-based troop support division of the DoD contracted NeuroLogica for the 3rd extension of a contract that can be renewed a maximum of 4 more times.

FDA gives Arcos a nod for its burn therapy device
Arcos Medical won FDA clearance for its Burn Navigator, a medical device that monitors fluid therapy in burn victims.
This device is designed for serious burn victims who need fluid resuscitation, and it has already been successfully used on hundreds of patients, according to the company. The Burn Navigator works by measuring both fluid input and urine output to gauge the patient’s need for more or less fluid treatment.

The San Clemente, Calif.-based medical device company is developing a non-surgical weight loss device, the ReShape Duo, to treat obese patients. The device is a dual balloon designed to take up space in the stomach to reduce its capacity for food.

Chinese hackers hit Boston Scientific
Med-tech titan Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) was one of 760 companies hit by Chinese cyber attacks that also targeted U.S. government agencies, research universities and Internet providers.
It’s not clear whether the Natick, Mass.-based medical device maker lost any sensitive information in the attack.
