Shenzen, China-based Mindray designed the TE Air system to meet the global demand for a high-quality, portable ultrasound device.
The company said in a news release that TE Air offers ease of use in multiple medical environments. It provides effective point-of-care ultrasound imaging, Mindray said. This could provide competition in the market for the handheld ultrasound technology developed by Butterfly Network.
Mindray built the system with its eWave platform and second-generation Single Crystal technology. This allows TE Air to deliver high-quality images with low power consumption. Its dedicated exam presets and comprehensive imaging modes allow clinicians to conduct ultrasounds more efficiently. Mindray said it also offers more accurate decision-making assistance.
TE Air features a wire-free design and compact size designed to easily fit into a pocket. It also offers high-level disinfection tolerance and flexible charging to extreme mobility. The system’s Air Capsule doubles as a protective case and portable wireless charger. TE Air requires just 35 minutes to fast charge and features a waterproof and dustproof design as well.
Mindray offers the TE Air app for Android and iOS to allow for one-handed operation in any location. It can also connect with devices like the Mindray TEX20 ultrasound system and integrate with hospital information systems.
