Medtronic’s Smart MDI system combines its InPen smart insulin pen with the Simplera continuous glucose monitor (CGM). The system became the first on the market to recommend corrections for missed or inaccurate insulin doses last fall. The company received FDA approval for Simplera in August 2024 as well.
