ZimVie (Nasdaq:ZIMV) announced today that it launched the T3 Pro tapered implant and Encode emergence healing abutment.
Westminster, Colorado-based ZimVie designed the T3 Pro to deliver high primary stability and immediate function with a hybrid surface featuring its proprietary Osseotite surface on the implant collar, superimposed on the grit-blasted implant body. T3 Pro represents the latest addition to the T3 family of implants.
T3 Pro has demonstrated safety, performance and a positive effect of the Osseotite surface in preserving crestal bone, while the hybrid surface with the optional integrated platform switching design provides early and long-term peri-implant bone support, according to a news release. Finally, the implant’s modernized collar design for placement depth adjustment and self-tapping threads for controlled insertion boost surgical performance, ZimVie said.
ZimVie’s Encode emergence healing abutment was designed to provide clear intraoral scans and aesthetics for patient comfort and healing. The 3-in-1 healing abutment, impression coping and scan-body offer efficiency by reducing the need for multiple abutment removals in the treatment process while improving hard and soft tissue preservation.
The company redesigned emergence profiles on the abutment to facilitate natural gingival tissue healing for improved aesthetics. The Encode abutment has intuitive, unique codes on the top surface and a matte appearance to allow for clear intraoral scanning and strong restoration precision.
ZimVie said the two FDA-cleared dental offerings “reflect significant innovation” to its previous products and provide an optimized implant experience for both dentists and patients. The commercial rollout for the devices will begin in the U.S. with the intention of expanding to additional countries pending necessary regulatory approvals.
“We are excited to launch the next evolution in our T3 family of implants and Encode impression system, which has been used in more than two million implant restoration procedures to date,” ZimVie SVP and President of ZimVie Dental Indraneel Kanaglekar said in the release. “ZimVie is committed to providing innovative treatment options to improve patient care while partnering with dental professionals globally to advance dental technology and end-to-end workflow solutions.”
