Stryker raises revenue guidance on the back of Street-beating Q3

October 31, 2025 By Sean Whooley

This is the logo of Stryker.

Stryker (NYSE: SYK) shares dipped slightly on third-quarter results that topped the consensus Wall Street forecast.

The next morning after the post-market-close earnings release, shares of SYK were down more than 2% to $360.40 apiece.

The Portage, Michigan–based orthopedic giant — one of the largest medical device companies in the world — reported profits of $859 million. That equals $2.22 per share on sales of $6.06 billion for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2025.

Stryker recorded a 3% bottom-line gain on a sales increase of 10.2%.

Adjusted to exclude one-time items, earnings per share came in at $3.19. That landed 6¢ ahead of expectations on Wall Street. Sales beat the estimates, too, as experts projected $6.04 billion in revenue.

The company reported $3.8 billion in revenue for its MedSurg and Neurotechnology unit, marking an increase of 14.4%. Orthopaedics netted $2.3 billion in sales for a 3.9% rise. Excluding the impact of its divested spinal implant business, Orthopaedics grew 12.5%. Highlights in the quarter for Stryker included the launch of its recently FDA-cleared Incompass total ankle system and a neurovascular robotics partnership with Siemens Healthineers.

Stryker increased its full-year revenue guidance to include a modestly favorable pricing impact. It anticipates foreign exchange having a slightly positive impact on both sales and adjusted EPS, should rates hold near current levels. Based on its momentum and these factors, Stryker now expects sales growth between 9.8% and 10.2% and adjusted EPS between $13.50 and $13.60. It previously projected between 9.5% and 10% this year, with adjusted EPS between $13.40 and $13.60.

“We delivered another quarter of strong sales and double-digit adjusted earnings per share growth,” said Kevin A. Lobo, Stryker chair and CEO. “Our teams continue to execute at a high level, driving performance at the high-end of medtech and building sustained momentum across our broad portfolio.”

This story originally ran on Oct. 30, 2025. Updated Oct. 31 with next day stock price.
