Structural heart treatment developer BioVentrix files for IPO

February 12, 2026 By Sean Whooley

BioVentrixBioVentrix has filed its Form S-1 with the U.S. SEC to move forward with an initial public offering (IPO).

The Mansfield, Massachusetts-based company hopes to get listed on the Nasdaq market under the “BVXX” ticker.

While the finances of the proposed IPO weren’t disclosed in the filing, the S-1 outlines an estimated $10 billion U.S. opportunity and a total opportunity of $16 billion for the company, which develops minimally invasive heart treatments.

BioVentrix’s technologies aim to treat the dilated left ventricle and reverse the left ventricular remodeling process in congestive heart failure.

The company’s Revivent TC system supports the minimally invasive procedure to treat a dilated left ventricle in patients with ischemic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and extensive left ventricular scar who have a suboptimal response to guideline-directed medical therapy. The procedure employs myocardial micro-anchor implants. These reconstruct the dilated left ventricle, resulting in a more efficient chamber.

BioVentrix marks another medtech IPO

A successful IPO for BioVentrix would make it the latest medtech company to go public through this route, which is a growing trend in the industry. Two of the biggest medtech companies in the world, Medline and Medtronic, recently made IPO news. Medline completed its $8 billion IPO in December 2025. Medtronic’s Diabetes unit, MiniMed, filed its own IPO recently, too as it looks to fully separate from the company.

Total artificial heart maker Picard Medical (maker of the Syncardia system) priced its $17 million IPO at the end of August. It finalized the offering in September of last year.

HeartFlow also closed its IPO in August 2025, with AI-powered spine surgery company Carlsmed completing its IPO in July 2025.

Wearable defibrillator maker Kestra Medical went public in March 2025, not long after automated insulin pump maker Beta Bionics in January completed its $204 million IPO. In 2024, heart valve company Anteris Technologies and neurotech company CeriBell completed IPOs.
