Smith & Nephew (NYSE:SNN) said today that it closed the acquisition of Atracsys and its optical tracking camera technology for an undisclosed amount.
The deal, announced earlier this month, adds the Switzerland-based company’s FusionTrack 500 optical tracking camera to the British orthopedics giant’s portfolio.
Smith & Nephew said today that it plans to incorporate the Atracsys technology into the next-generation robotics platform it’s hoping to release next year.
