Silony Medical this week completed the acquisition of Centinel Spine’s global fusion business.
The acquisition adds to Silony Medical’s Verticale posterior screw and rod fusion platform, its Roccia and Favo Interbody Fusion (IBF) systems with Stalif technology.
Through the acquisition, Silony will change its name to Silony Spine to underscore its commitment to focus on spine fusion technology. The company will also begin a refresh of its Stalif platform to drive further adoption among the spine surgeon community, then launch its next-generation enabled instruments.
Silony has been active in the U.S. market since late 2018 and the acquisition will allow it to capitalize on the distribution network of the Centinel Fusion portfolio to strengthen its position in the North American spine market.
