The launch comes more than five years after the company rolled out its second-generation system in February 2021.
Mount Laurel, New Jersey-based RhythMedix designed its third-generation device to enhance the patient experience through improved comfort, wearability and patient adherence. It features a compact lead configuration, a waterproof IPX-6 rating and increased battery life.
According to the company, it differentiates its offering through built-in cellular connectivity. This enables the automatic transmission of ECG data to the cloud for seamless, prompt review across all monitoring modes. It requires no device return by mail for data processing, like other wearable heart monitors such as iRhythm’s Zio.
RhythMedix said its proprietary Augmented Arrhythmia Intelligence (AAI) platform helps deliver precise arrhythmia detection. It combines advanced algorithms with a multi-layered data review process.
Dr. George Shaw, an electrophysiologist at AHN Allegheny Health Network, said the device marks “a meaningful step forward” in cardiac care management and delivery. Shaw called RhythMedix’s approach “visionary,” pairing a patient-friendly design with advanced technology and expert oversight.
