Rebecca Seidel, the medtech giant’s SVP of Elecrophysiology Therapies, welcomed Felicia Kurz to the company in a LinkedIn post yesterday. Kurz has advanced up the executive ranks at Siemens Healthineers for the past 10 years, serving for the past three years as SVP of Advanced Therapies for North America. The Advanced Therapies business includes angiography, hemodynamics, and mobile C-arms equipment and services.
AFib-treating cardiac ablation has been a standout performer for Medtronic, with strong commercial demand for the Affera Sphere-9 pulsed-field ablation (PFA) catheter. The Affera system won an expanded indication for ventricular tachycardia (VT) and premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) in the EU last month.
As PFA drives double-digit revenue growth for Medtronic, the Minnesota-based medtech giant has committed to reinvesting in high-growth platforms such as Affera.
Seidel said of Kurz’s appointment to lead the business:
“Felicia joins us with an impressive track record of leadership and innovation in healthcare. Her experience spans commercial, strategy, business development, and global team leadership, making her exceptionally well positioned for this next chapter. As we continue to strengthen our leadership in electrophysiology and expand access to life-changing therapies around the world, Felicia’s experience scaling businesses and leading through growth will be invaluable. We’re thrilled to have Felicia on board and look forward to the expertise and energy she’ll bring as we continue advancing the next era of electrophysiology.”
