In addition to leading the ENT business, Haag will also serve on the Neurosciences portfolio leadership team, Medtronic said. He has held the role of interim president of Medtronic ENT since July 2025. Amy Van Sach previously served as president of Medtronic ENT.

During Haag’s stint as interim ENT head, he strengthened the leadership team, deepened customer relations and delivered strong business results, according to a news release. The company said his appointment reflects momentum in the ENT business and confidence in his leadership.
Haag offers nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 20 years at Medtronic. Before his interim appointment in July, he served as VP of marketing and clinical for the AiBLE ecosystem at Medtronic.

What does Medtronic ENT do?
Medtronic’s ENT business includes a broad portfolio of head and neck surgery products, including the NIM Vital nerve monitoring system.
The company also has the StealthStation ENT and StealthStation FlexENT systems, delivering image-guided navigation for functional endoscopic sinus surgery.
It also has the Integrated Power Console (IPC) system, a multispecialty console that powers supported Medtronic ENT handpieces used for removing soft tissue, hard tissue and bone during surgery. Propel sinus implants are clinically proven to maintain patency and improve patient outcomes by helping reduce inflammation in the post-operative healing period.
Additionally, the NuVent EM sinus dilation system is a targeted system for balloon sinus surgery with built-in surgical navigation technology.
