Zamarro’s appointment goes into effect on July 13, 2026. She brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience to the business, which J&J looks set to separate in a deal that could be valued at around $20 billion.
Her track record spans roles across treasury, investor relations, FP&A and accounting. Zamarro joins DePuy from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where she most recently served as CFO.
According to DePuy Synthes, Zamarro’s career path includes leadership roles with responsibility for capital markets, liquidity and financial risk management globally before leading investor relations. Later, she led enterprise financial planning and performance management efforts, too.
“I am excited to welcome Christina to the DePuy Synthes team,” said Namal Nawana, worldwide president, DePuy Synthes. “With more than two decades of financial leadership, she brings deep experience managing global and complex transformation programs. I look forward to partnering closely with Christina as we continue building on our momentum.”
Zamarro joins as the DePuy Synthes business continues to make strides, recently acquiring radiofrequency tracking technology and launching a new platform for Velys called Velys Hip Navigation with AI Assistance in the U.S. Another recent personnel move came with the appointment of Andrew Burton to the role of upstream marketing director, Robotics Platforms.
