
The company said in an SEC filing that his decision to resign was not due to a dispute or disagreement with the company or its management. His resignation takes effect on August 9.
Ebeling joined the sleep therapy company in June 2020. There, he led 70 employees across manufacturing, quality systems, regulatory affairs and clinical affairs. Prior to Inspire Medical, he was the vice president and chief technology officer at Abbott from September 2015 to March 2018.
For more than twenty years, Ebeling has held numerous roles in the medtech company. He has also worked for Rexam, Boston Scientific, and St. Jude Medical with varying levels of responsibility.
With his departure, Inspire Medical plans to engage an executive search firm to find a new chief operating officer.

Earlier this week, Inspire Medical appointed a new chief people officer. Melissa Mann joined the company from UnitedHealth Group where she left human capital teams for the Optum division.
In February, Inspire Medical CEO Tim Herbert took over as board chair when Marilyn Carlson Nelson retired from her board position.
Longtime board member Jerry Griffin also retired from the board on May 2, having served since 2008.
