Along with his appointment to the board, McMillan was also appointed to the board’s Audit and Finance Committee.
Currently, McMillan serves as CFO at Solventum, the 3M Health Care spinoff. He officially became Solventum’s CFO after its 2024 separation, but initially joined the business as CFO of 3M Health Care in November 2023.
Before joining 3M/Solventum, McMillan served as EVP, CFO and treasurer at insulin patch pump maker Insulet. He spent more than four years in that role, initially joining in March 2019 before his November 2023 departure. Prior to Insulet, he held the post of CFO and VP of finance for Medtronic’s Minimally Invasive Therapies group for just over four years.
For more than eight years, before Medtronic’s acquisition of Covidien, McMillan held a variety of leadership roles at the latter. He began his career in accounting, audit, financial analysis and investor relations positions at various institutions.
