The Financial Times reported yesterday that a duo of private equity firms approached Hologic about a potential acquisition. BD launches bioabsorbable mesh for hernia repair following FDA nod

BD announced today that it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Phasix ST umbilical hernia patch. The company has now initiated the launch of Phasix ST, the first and only fully absorbable hernia patch on the market designed specifically for umbilical hernias, according to a news release. Hologic completes acquisition of Gynesonics

Hologic announced today that it completed its $350 million acquisition of Gynesonics. Marlborough, Massachusetts–based Hologic announced an agreement to buy Gynesonics in October. FemPulse wins FDA IDE for for overactive bladder neuromod

Hologic to close Connecticut facility, lay off 86 employees
