The company designed its FDA 510(k)-pending system to unlock advanced imaging capabilities in cardiology, oncology and other areas. It unveiled Signa Sprint at the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) 2025.
GE HealthCare said the system delivers high-performance scanning made simple at 1.5T. It features exceptional diffusion imaging for oncology diagnosis and treatment planning, too. The company says its system equips clinicians and researchers with the ability to expand the current 1.5T boundaries.
According to a news release, Signa Sprint supports the shift to quantitative MRI and a deeper understanding of tissue characteristics. The adoption of deep-learning reconstruction techniques for accelerated cardiac MRI aims to reduce the time and expertise needed to interpret scans and drive consistency and reliability.
Other features include a 70 cm wide bore space and free breathing capabilities to optimize patient comfort. The next-generation, high-performance platform also supports built-in AI technologies to enable high-quality imaging.
