The upgrades aim to help customers modernize select legacy Innova and Discovery IGS systems. These pathways provide access to Allia technologies and workflows that support efficiency and procedural decision-making. They also help preserve existing infrastructure, avoid major construction work, extend the interventional room lifetime and minimize disruption to clinical operations.
Chicago-based GE HealthCare said it aims to help healthcare providers looking for flexible ways to modernize interventional environments. Upgrade pathways can help customers extend the value of existing systems through workflow enhancements, expanded interoperability capabilities and access to Allia innovations. They also help reduce infrastructure replacement needs and support long-term operational and sustainability goals.
Depending on system configuration, market availability and regulatory requirements, upgrade options may deliver access to a range of capabilities and third-party solutions. Those include CleaRecon DL, 3DStent, OmnifyXR, Embo ASSIST AI, Medis Quantitative Flow Ratio and Avvigo+ intravascular imaging.
CleaRecon DL offers an AI-enabled deep learning reconstruction technology. 3DStent, an intraprocedural tool, provides 3D visualization of the coronary stent to remove imaging barriers. OmnifyXR, an AR guidance solution, supports workflow efficiency and ergonimics. Embo Assist AI offers augmented guidance for optimizing embolization strategies. Medis, a software solution, assesses coronary physiology in patients with coronary artery disease. Avvigo+ (from Boston Scientific) enhances the intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and physiology experience through multimodality guidance.
GE HealthCare also provides Tube Watch and/or OnWatch Predict service options on all upgraded systems. These help proactively manage system performance and maintenance through AI-powered estimated lead time to failure.
The company now offers its upgrade pathways in the U.S. and other geographies in which it offers the Allia IGS and Allia IGS Pulse systems.
