Turco brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to the pulsed field ablation (PFA) technology developer. It was founded by Dr. Steven Mickelsen, who also serves as chief technology officer. Mickelsen previously founded Farapulse, which Boston Scientific acquired in 2021. Farapulse has since become a leading PFA platform around the world.
Over his career, Turco has led venture-backed cardiovascular startups and served in executive roles within large-cap medical device organizations. He led multiple clinical-stage companies through development and strategic transactions as well.
Previously, Turco served as president and CEO of JC Medical. There, he led the development of a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) system for aortic regurgitation. Edwards Lifesciences acquired that technology in 2024.
Before JC Medical, Turco held senior leadership roles at Medtronic and Covidien. There, he served as VP and chief medical officer of the vascular and neurovascular franchises.
Most recently, Turco held the post of president and CEO of the Rhode Island Life Science Hub.
