In this new role, Philips will oversee manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, and quality at the vascular-disease-treating devices company. He’ll report to CEO Matt Thompson.
“I am delighted to welcome Graham to Endologix. His proven leadership and extensive operational expertise will be invaluable as we continue to drive growth and innovation within our company,” Thompson said in a news release.
Philips was most recently VP of manufacturing for the Americas East Region at Medtronic. He led a large global team across 25 manufacturing sites. Philips has held roles of varying responsibilities at Medtronic since 2015. He has also held leadership roles at Covidien, Budelpack and Kraft Foods.
“Joining Endologix represents a remarkable opportunity to leverage my extensive background in operational management to put patients first through innovation and enhancing our manufacturing and R&D processes. My commitment is to optimize our operational capabilities to support Endologix’s mission of delivering healthcare innovation to improve the lives of patients with vascular disease,” Philips said.
The new appointment comes a few months after Endologix picked another former Medtronic leader as chief commercial officer. In March, the company appointed Mike Mathias to the CCO post. He most recently served as VP of commercial operations at Limflow and has held various commercial leadership roles at Medtronic.
