Danaher (NYSE:DHR) announced today that it completed its previously announced acquisition of Masimo (Nasdaq:MASI).
In February, the companies announced an agreement that would see Danaher acquire the Irvine, California-based health monitoring technology company for $180 per share, amounting to approximately $9.9 billion.
Masimo shareholders approved the acquisition last month. Today, Danaher said it completed the deal to buy the patient monitoring technology developer that operates primarily in acute care treatment settings.
Washington, D.C.–based Danaher operates across life sciences spaces, with a range of businesses spanning laboratory equipment, diagnostics, biotechnology and more. Masimo brings significant digital health and patient monitoring capabilities to Danaher’s portfolio. Its technologies include pulse oximeters and healthcare monitoring systems, like the wearable W1 smartwatch.
Danaher says that Masimo brings a trusted brand, advanced sensor technology and AI-enabled monitoring platforms to its diagnostics portfolio. It will function as a wholly-owned subsidiary, maintaining its existing brand and operating as a standalone company within the Danaher Diagnostics segment.
With the transaction closing, Danaher said it makes no changes to its financial guidance for 2026. It expects no material contribution from Masimo in the second quarter of 2026.
“Masimo is a strong strategic fit for Danaher. Together, we expect to strengthen our ability to deliver differentiated products in acute care settings and accelerate Masimo’s growth and global reach,” said Julie Sawyer Montgomery, EVP of Diagnostics at Danaher. “We are excited to welcome the Masimo team to Danaher.”
