Knoxville, Tennessee-based ChoiceSpine designed its Harrier system as a 3D-printed, standalone, screw-based system that incorporates the company’s proprietary BioBond porous structure technology.
According to a news release, the system includes four titanium, dual-threaded corticocancellous screws designed for lag purchase. There are three anatomical footprints for the interbody with multiple lordotic options as well as an integrated cam-locking mechanism for additional security.
The company said the Harrier SA system is indicated for standalone use but, if additional fixation is desired, there is compatibility with the Raven anterior lumbar plate system.
“The launch of our next generation Harrier SA system builds on our already robust family of 3D-printed product portfolio,” ChoiceSpine EVP of Strategy and Technology Steve Ainsworth said in the release. “Harrier SA provides surgeons an excellent standalone solution for ALIF procedures.”
