
Teleflex (NYSE:TFX) plans to add 75 jobs to its North Carolina operations after it finished building a new facility.
Teleflex, which employs 442 workers in 2 offices in Durham, is planning to consolidate those offices into a single facility in Morrisville, N.C.
The Limerick, Pa.-based company plans to add 75 jobs to the new facility in Morrisville.
“Our business has flourished in North Carolina since the early 90s, thanks to the talent and dedication of our people. Our company is growing, and this new facility will provide our employees with a world-class environment for collaboration, innovation and career growth,” president & CEO Benson Smith said in prepared remarks.
Last month, Teleflex announced a $263 million deal to buy Vidacare Corp., a Shavano Park, Texas-based medical device company that makes inside-the-bone access devices. The deal is expected to close in the 4th quarter.
Teleflex reported reported net income of $46.8 million, or $1.13 per share, on sales of $413.8 million for the 3rd quarter. That’s a profit surge of 113% on sales growth of 12.4% compared with the same period last year.
