ArthroCare (NSDQ:ARTC) said it closed its $45 million acquisition of ENTrigue Surgical and bought a nearly 20% stake in Israeli medical device company Ortho-Space.

ArthroCare, Justice Dept. ink 4th extension
For the 4th time in a year, ArthroCare and the Justice Department extended their deadline to strike a deal in an ongoing criminal probe into the company’s spinal business unit.
The Austin, Tex-based company and the DOJ entered into another tolling agreement, a deal that extends statute of limitation rules, until August 31st. The negotiations were 1st extended in January, and the most recent tolling agreement was set to close May 31.

ArthroCare lands FDA win for SpeedLock HIP implant
Surgical devices maker ArthroCare (NSDQ:ARTC) won FDA clearance for its SpeedLock HIP implant, a soft-tissue-to-bone fixation implant for hip repair surgeries.
The device’s primary use is in acetabular labral reattachment and hip capsular repair, according to a press release.
ArthroCare, Justice Dept. extend deal again
ArthroCare (NSDQ:ARTC) and the U.S. Justice Dept. extended by a month the statute of limitations on a federal inquiry from the U.S. Dept. of Justice in to the company’s spinal business.
In January Austin, Texas-based ArthroCare said it was pushing the deal out until March 1. That extension was added to Feb. 27, pushing the deal out to March 30, according to a regulatory filing.
