Symmetry Medical (NYSE:SMA) said its chief operating officer Chris Huntington has left the company. Huntington founded Everest Metal Orthopedics and joined Symmetry amid a 2006 merger. He was promoted within Symmetry from his initial position as VP of business development.
SEC filings did not state a reason for his departure, but his executive benefits package entitles the former COO to 1 year of salary and a bonus. In addition, the board said it would vest a pro rata amount of Huntington’s restricted stock because of his "many years of strong performance for the company," according to the filings.
