Molli Surgical develops wire-free soft tissue localization technology for breast-conserving surgery. The company’s offerings strengthen Stryker’s advancing surgical solutions in breast cancer care, the company said in a news release.
The Molli 2 localization system offers ease of use and reliability to support a more efficient surgical workflow. Stryker says Molli Surgical offers the Molli Marker, too, which is the smallest on the market at 3.2 mm. It’s also detectable in dense breasts and through hematoma.

Additionally, Molli Surgical has the Molli 2 tablet, which provides surgeons with real-time feedback. That feedback includes distance, visual, auditory and 3D directional guidance.
Earlier this year, Molli Surgical also launched its OncoPen surgical tool for breast cancer imaging. The sleek, pen-like wand integrates with the Molli 2 system. The minimally invasive tool with directional 3D guidance helps precisely target and remove cancerous lesions.

The companies elected not to disclose the financial terms of the deal.
