Response Biomedical (TSE:RBM) announced the appointment of Tim Shannon as senior vice president of world wide sales and marketing. Shannon was formerly VP of the vascular unit at Teleflex (NYSE:TFX). In addition, Jonathan Wang joined the company’s board of directors.

ProUroCare adds Stan Myrum as consultant to team
ProUroCare Medical (OTC:PUMD) added Stan Myrum as a consultant to lead development efforts in technology and products. One of Myrum’s principal responsibilities will include leading to commercialization the recently FDA-approved ProUroScan system, a prostate imaging device.
Myrum most recently served as VP of quality and operations for Medtronic’s (NYSE:MDT) cardiac rhythm disease management unit.

GlySure appoints new U.S. director of clinical affairs
U.K.-based GlySure announced the hiring of Heidi Hausner as the director of clinical affairs in the U.S. Hausner will lead clinical U.S. trials for products manufactured by the glucose-monitoring systems maker. Hausner most recently served as senior clinical research manager of Synthes Inc. which is now part of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ).
