Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh demonstrate a breakthrough in neuro-prosthetics with a brain-controlled robotic arm, which allows quadriplegic Jan Scheuermann to feed herself a chocolate bar. According to the medical journal The Lancet, Scheuermann was implanted with two 96-channel intracortical microelectrodes in the motor cortex.
