PieX AI launches AI-powered pendant sensor device for mental health

PieX AI announced today that it launched a pendant featuring on-device AI for managing mental health through sensing technology.

The company says it aims for the product to revolutionize mental health management. It claims the pendant seamlessly integrates AI and sensing technology with emotional well-being.

PieX wants to enhance mental health through advanced applications like AI life coaching, guided breathing exercises and health monitoring. Its holistic pendant tool applies physiological and psychological aspects to support wellbeing. According to the company, it built the device on its proprietary sensing technology and foundational models with both personalized and on-device AI.

Sensing technology in the pendant provides 24/7 accurate emotion tracking results, according to a news release. This builds a personalized emotion database for each user, allowing the AI to know them better. It not only accurately measures indicators of stress, like heart rate variability, but assesses emotional states through speech tone.

By combining these aspects, PieX says its pendant gives users comprehensive emotional tracking insights. The pendant’s sensing ability also offers users the capacity to perceive their environment and events to correlate emotional states with daily occurrences.

PieX leverages its sensing capabilities with personalized AI to offer options for meditation and breathing exercises based on emotional changes and preferences. This enables users to take a more proactive approach to their mental health, the company said. Additionally, all sensing and data analysis occur on the user’s personal device. This means no need for cloud updates, with sensitive information never leaving the user’s devices.
