PaceMate announced today that it acquired the Paceart Optima on-premises cardiac workflow solution from Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) .
The acquisition expands PaceMate’s global reach by adding nearly 1,000 clinic locations worldwide. Sarasota, Florida-based PaceMate said it enhances its ability to provide its comprehensive cardiac remote monitoring solution and cardiac data management.
Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business and PaceMate intend to collaborate closely to ensure a seamless transition.

PaceMate offers an end-to-end platform for supporting the full spectrum of cardiac devices. That includes implantables, ambulatory monitors, heart failure devices and remote patient monitors. The company pairs this with a complete suite of solutions, including software, patient communications and clinical service support.
The flagship PaceMateLIVE remote cardiac monitoring product, uses EHR integrations for seamless implementation, intuitive use and intelligent patient prioritization.
According to PaceMate, acquiring the Medtronic solution complements its own offerings, bringing it to the forefront of cardiac care. The company believes it could enable better patient outcomes and global innovation.
