Neurent Medical announced today that it opened a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Oranmore, Co. Galway, Ireland.

The company plans for its new plant to serve as the central hub for production of its Neuromark system. Neuromark’s latest-generation iteration last week received FDA clearance for treating chronic rhinitis.

Neurent designed the system to optimize the treatment of posterior nasal nerves. It provides real-time feedback, guides proper electrode placement and confirms successful treatment delivery.

Neuromark features a flexible shaft and atraumatic leaflets that conform to the patient anatomy. This enables physicians to reach challenging areas in the nasal cavity while maximizing treatment coverage. The system delivers impedance-controlled, low-power radiofrequency (RF) energy to disrupt parasympathetic nerve signals. This addresses the key symptoms of chronic rhinitis, such as persistent nasal congestion and rhinorrhea (runny nose).

More about the new Neurent Medical facility

The company says its new facility marks a major investment in Ireland’s medtech ecosystem in Galway. It expects to create 125 new highly skilled jobs by the end of 2028 with the opening of the new facility. Those jobs include positions in engineering, quality control, operations, supply chain management and sales and marketing.

Neurent says that it expects in-house manufacturing to enable it to deepen its regional fooprint in Galway while strengthening control over product quality, innovation and international distribution.

“We’re proud to scale our operations in Galway, where the medtech ecosystem continues to thrive. Our new Westlink facility gives us the manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand for Neuromark, while creating high skilled employment opportunities and contributing to economic vitality in the west of Ireland,” said Brian Shields, CEO of Neurent Medical. “As an Irish-founded company, we’re excited to manufacture our product locally with the exceptional skills available and deliver Irish-engineered medtech innovation to the world.”
