NanoVibronix this week announced it appointed Doron Besser as CEO following the retirement of longtime leader Brian Murphy.
The move comes shortly after the company’s acquisition of ENvue Medical, where Besser previously served as CEO. Murphy will remain on the board of directors to support leadership continuity.
“Brian has been an integral part of NanoVibronix’s success, driving product innovation and spearheading initiatives to expand distribution and commercialize our unique therapeutic solutions. His dedication and leadership have helped to lay a solid foundation for the company’s future. On behalf of the Board, I want to sincerely thank Brian for his service and enduring commitment to the company,” NanoVibronix chair Christopher Fashek said in a news release.
The CEO transition follows NanoVibronix’s February acquisition of ENvue, a developer of electromagnetic navigation systems for feeding tube placement. The combination was intended to drive operational synergies and expand the company’s reach in the medical device market, according to NanoVibronix.
Besser said the integration of ENvue and NanoVibronix creates a strong platform for growth. NanoVibronix has been the developer of UroShield, a portable ultrasonic therapeutic device. UroShield utilizes patented low-intensity surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology. The device can be attached to external urinary tract catheters, providing potential relief from spasm and catheter pain.
“With the recent strategic combination of NanoVibronix and ENvue, I believe we are well-positioned to capitalize on new market opportunities, enhance our product portfolio and drive long-term stockholder value. I look forward to working with the Board and our talented team to continue the company’s legacy of innovation and success,” Besser said.
