MassDevice.com looked at some of the most talked-about medical device companies, based on trends in U.S. Google searches for the last 30 days.
Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) maintained its lead on other devices makers, again topping the 30-day internet chatter list amid a slew of reports regarding new clinical results on transcatheter aortic valve implantation technologies, neurostimulators, renal denervation and more.
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) was a far 2nd, with most of this month’s stories focused on legal battles and the company’s latest earnings report. Dialysis provider Fresenius (NYSE:FMS) made a surprise appearance on the roster as the company continues its long-running battle with Baxter (NYSE:BAX).
St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ) and Covidien (NYSE:COV) closed the list at a dead heat, with a raft of St. Jude stories on clinical trials, patent battles and more, while Covidien laid low during the month.
