Additionally, the company announced the introduction of the Varipulse Plus platform. Varipulse Plus represents an update to the existing Varipulse pulsed field ablation (PFA) platform, introducing automated irrigation flow. It builds procedural confidence and reinforces its well-established safety profile.
Johnson & Johnson MedTech said its Varipulse platform is the first PFA technology designed to streamline ablation and mapping through a single integrated workflow with the Carto 3 mapping system. Carto 3 offers 3D heart mapping for electrophysiology procedures, including PFA.
The company said the combination offers enhanced precision, efficiency, and procedural reproducibility for physicians treating patients with AFib.
Meanwhile, the company labeled NuVision Nav the world’s first 4D intracardiac imaging catheter fully integrated with a 3D electroanatomical mapping system. It fully integrates with Carto 3 as well.
NuVision Nav offers real-time 4D intercardiac imaging to enhance anatomical visualization and support precise navigation. The catheter helps to guide complex electrophysiology procedures with minimal catheter manipulation and reduced fluoroscopy use.
Johnson & Johnson MedTech said its latest launch helps with its efforts “redefining the role of intracardiac ultrasound and setting a new standard for imaging-driven EP guidance.”
The company also has upcoming clinical evidence set for presentation at the 31st Annaul AF Symposium in Boston.
