Intuitive Surgical (Nasdaq: ISRG) Global Business Services EVP Marshall Mohr is leaving the surgical robotics leader, the company said today.

Mohr joined Sunnyvale, California-based Intuitive in 2006 as SVP and CFO and started in his current position in 2022. He also serves on the boards of Veeva Systems and Pacific Biosciences of California.

“Marshall will be taking his skills to pursuits outside of Intuitive in September this year,” Intuitive CEO Gary Guthart said on today’s second-quarter earnings call. “As he approaches his next endeavor, I thank him on behalf of all of us for his outstanding stewardship at Intuitive for the past 18 years.”

Intuitive CFO Jamie Samath will expand his responsibilities to include leading Intuitive’s information technology and global facilities teams, Guthart said.

Samath joined Intuitive in 2013 as VP and corporate controller. He became CFO in 2022 when Mohr took on his current role.

Mohr, who was 68 years old as of the end of February, is the oldest executive officer at Intuitive Surgical, according to the company’s latest annual report.

When Intuitive announced the creation of the Global Business Services functional organization in 2021, the company said it would “serve to align and scale processes, manage multi-year IT roadmaps, better use enterprise data for real-time decisionmaking, and maintain and execute global facilities and maintenance roadmaps.”

Mohr was tasked with leading “Intuitive’s continued growth in infrastructure, processes, and systems and facilities.”

Today, Intuitive’s website says Global Business Services employees have responsibilities ranging from “managing one of Intuitive’s manufacturing sites, analyzing productivity enterprise-wide, or mapping out how new technology will shape our workplace.”
