Surgical robotics leader Intuitive
(Nasdaq: ISRG)
today announced three new executive leadership promotions to support its continued growth.
Henry Charlton, Gary Loeb and Jamie Samath all received promotions within the Sunnyvale, California-based organization.
Charlton, a 21-year Intuitive veteran, moves up to the role of EVP and chief commercial and marketing officer. During his tenure at Intuitive, Charlton has served in key leadership roles across multiple geographies (U.S., Europe and APAC) and global distribution and commercial organizations, regional marketing, global customer services and commercial enablement functions. He took on the CCO role in 2022 and took on further responsibility for global marketing and strategy.
Loeb, who joined Intuitive in 2022 as SVP and general counsel, now shifts to the role of EVP and chief legal and compliance officer. In the post, he oversees legal and governance functions and ESG reporting while serving as chief compliance officer. His track record includes leadership roles across public and private life sciences companies.
Samath takes on the position of EVP, CFO and enterprise technology leader. Having originally joined the company in 2013, Samath became CFO in 2022 and enterprise technology leader in 2024. That includes oversight of information technology, real estate and workplace services and purchasing.
Charlton continues reporting to Intuitive President Dave Rosa. Loeb and Samath continue reporting to CEO Gary Guthart. All promotions were made effective immediately.
“Henry, Jamie, and Gary are outstanding leaders who represent Intuitive’s core values and are deeply committed to our mission of advancing minimally invasive care,” said Guthart. “These promotions continue to strengthen Intuitive’s leadership team and position the company to embrace new opportunities, tackle large-scale challenges, and bolster Intuitive’s strong, consistent leadership as we continue pursuit of our mission.”
