The company said its new Digital OR Hub marks a new investment in software development and clinical expertise. It aims to accelerate the path to a single intelligent digital ecosystem across the full perioperative workflow.
According to Getinge, with hospitals managing more cases that bring greater complexity and require more coordination than ever, one-size-fits-all software fails to keep up at times. The company designed its Hamburg Hub to close that gap, building it around real surgical workflows.
Getinge says the Digital OR Hub spans pre-operative planning through intra-operative execution to post-operative care.
“Technology alone is not the goal,” Charlotte Enlund, VP, Digital Health Solutions, Getinge. “What clinical teams need are solutions that are flexible, scalable, and designed for real-life challenges. AI and connected workflows are reshaping how hospitals operate, and the bar for what good software must deliver is rising. For a digital MedTech company at the forefront of that shift, Hamburg is where we build what clinical teams need next.”
According to Getinge, the hub deepens the connection between clinical need and digital capabilities.
“This investment is not only about where we work, but how we work,” said Matthias Rath, director, Getinge product management & business development, Digital OR Solutions. “It creates the conditions for closer collaboration, accelerates development, and lays the foundation for a connected OR ecosystem. Delivered as a service designed to support healthcare providers.”
