GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced new collaborations with two U.S. health systems to advance its AI-driven hospital operations software.
The Chicago-based company announced deals with The Queen’s Health Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina. Both health systems plan to contribute frontline expertise to inform GE HealthCare’s forthcoming cloud-first software as a service (SaaS) solution coming to its CareIntellect family of applications.
These partnerships come soon after a new strategic enterprise collaboration with UC San Diego Health, announced last week.
GE HealthCare — one of the largest medtech companies in the world — said user feedback feeds its customer-driven approach. This new solution uses AI and predictive analytics to recommend actions and give hospital leaders actionable insights. It hopes to help deliver high-quality, efficient care.
The new solution draws on insights from nearly 500 hospitals and medical centers. GE HealthCare hopes to help hospital leaders get ahead of what’s next with recommended actions and predictive analytics. All of this runs on the company’s CareIntellect cloud-first infrastructure.
“We are continuously innovating and working closely with customers to advance what’s possible with cloud, AI, and software solutions. We look forward to working hand in hand with customers to unlock new opportunities for improved outcomes. This announcement exemplifies our commitment to developing solutions rooted in our customers’ needs and improving the patient experience,” said Bree Bush, General Manager of Command Center. “By bringing in their frontline expertise, clinical knowledge, and operational expertise, we’re accelerating innovation that helps hospitals operate more efficiently, support their staff, and ultimately deliver better care.”
