GE HealthCare
(Nasdaq: GEHC)
announced today that it appointed Jeannette Bankes as president and CEO for its Patient Care Solutions business.
Bankes succeeds Tom Westrick, who plans to retire after more than 20 years with GE HealthCare. Her appointment goes into effect on May 1, 2025. Westrick plans to remain with the company until May 31, 2025, to support Bankes’ transition into the role and ensure a smooth changeover.

Bankes joins GE HealthCare from Alcon, most recently serving as SVP and president, Global Franchises there. In that role, she oversaw product development, portfolio management and commercialization of products. Her leadership spanned the global surgical, vision care and ocular health businesses at Alcon.
Before Alcon, Bankes spent time in a number of senior leadership positions at Boston Scientific and Merck.
“Jeannette is a proven leader who has diverse and deep experience at publicly traded companies in the healthcare industry. We proudly welcome her to the company and are confident that she has the expertise to move Patient Care Solutions forward and deliver on our precision care strategy,” said Peter Arduini, president and CEO.
