Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center (HHNM) became the first location in the U.S. to install the system. GE HealthCare’s image-guided system (IGS) features a new imaging chain. The company designed this feature to provide exceptional imaging at the right dose. This enables visible impact in complex cardiology interventions regardless of patient size.
Allia IGS Pulse provides a personalized workspace to meet the operator’s specific needs and preferences. As part of the new image chain, the system features a monopolar X-ray tube used to capture images for interventional procedures. The company says the tube — the first of its kind — provides powerful, yet quiet imaging capabilities.
GE HealthCare received FDA clearance for this system in October 2023. HHNM plans to use Allia IGS Pulse in its cardiac electrophysiology (EP) lab to plan, guide and monitor EP procedures. That could include cardiac ablations, catheterizations, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), balloon and coronary angioplasties and more.
“GE HealthCare has had a long-standing relationship with Lovelace Health System and has witnessed its ongoing leadership in providing the best possible care to its patients,” said Arnaud Marie, GM for Interventional at GE HealthCare. “We are delighted to collaborate with them for the first U.S. installation of the Allia IGS Pulse System. This next step is a demonstration of our commitment to addressing today’s healthcare challenges, unlocking efficiencies, and most importantly, providing optimal experiences for patients and their providers.”
