Ex-Insulet (NSDQ:PODD) CFO Brian Roberts landed at Avedro as its new finance chief, the laser eye surgery company said this week.
Roberts is replacing Rhonda Bracey, who’s staying on to assist in the transition until her move to the West Coast to pursue other opportunities, according to a press release.
"I am looking forward to working with Brian as Avedro continues to expand the markets for its platform of cross-linking technologies for use in vision correction and treatment of keratoconus," Avedro CEO David Muller said in prepared remarks. "Brian brings significant operating experience in both public and private company environments, and key financial and strategic experience within the global health care markets."
"Rhonda has been integral in the growth of our business at Avedro and her contributions to the operations of the company will be sincerely missed. I appreciate all that she has done in bringing Avedro to this stage in our development and wish her the best in her new endeavors on the West Coast. She will be a great asset to any company she joins," Muller added.
Roberts left Insulet last November, 50 days after the diabetes company swapped former CEO Duane DeSisto for former Cytyc bigwig Patrick Sullivan.
"I am thrilled to join Avedro," Roberts said in a statement. "I look forward to working with David and the world-class Avedro team to build on the success that its cross-linking platform has had internationally outside the U.S."
