Evena Medical said it landed $5 million in a Series B funding round and inked a distribution deal in the Middle East and North Africa.
Silicon Valley-based Evena said it hopes the financing round will eventually reach $15 million. This tranche of the round comes from its new, unnamed distribution partner in 15 Middle Eastern and North African countries.
Evena Medical is developing Eyes-On Glasses, a wearable, battery-powered imaging system for multi-spectral vascular imaging.
“We are very pleased to be expanding our distribution further, bringing our total reach to 22 countries plus mainland China. Our partners have further demonstrated their confidence in the opportunity for Evena’s innovative products in their market by providing an initial $5 million tranche of our Series B financing,” president & CEO Frank Ball said in prepared remarks.
