Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE:EW) today presented new data at New York Valves 2026 supporting its transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) technologies.
New findings shared at New York Valves span aortic, mitral and triscuspid therapies, according to a news release.
Ahead of a planned full presentation at TCT 2026, Edwards shared the baseline characteristics of its PROGRESS trial. PROGRESS aims to provide new insights into the heterogenous nature of modern aortic stenosis (AS) patients. Edwards hopes to use findings to support earlier intervention with TAVR compared to current guidelines.
PROGRESS saw that more than 95% of patients were symptomatic and more than 70% had two or more at-risk features. More than 90% had a normal left ventricular function.
Additional presentations strengthen the evidence base for the company’s Sapien 3 platform. That includes seven-year benchmark durability data from the PARTNER 3 trial, along with new findings from the EARLY TAVR trial. Edwards says findings underscore the benchmark valve performance and differentiated long-term durability of the therapy.
The company also shared data highlighting real-world outcomes in mitral and tricuspid therapies. Findings from more than 4,500 patients treated with the Pascal transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) system demonstrated sustained safety and effectiveness for patients with mitral regurgitation (MR).
Additionally, one-year data from the ENCIRCLE trial mitral annular calcification (MAC) registry supported the safety, effectiveness and quality of life improvements with Sapien M3. Sapien M3 represents he first and only transcatheter transseptal mitral valve replacement system. It won FDA approval at the end of 2025.
Edwards CEO Bernard Zovighian said:
“Edwards remains focused on addressing the significant unmet needs of the many structural heart patients who remain untreated today. Our expanding evidence base reflects Edwards’ clear and sustained commitment to advancing care through partnership with the physician community. From building a deeper understanding of the moderate AS population and advancing evidence about asymptomatic patients to demonstrating distinguished SAPIEN platform durability and strategies for lifetime disease management, we are strengthening confidence in long-term outcomes and increasing access for patients worldwide.
“Together, our differentiated technology and world-class evidence reflect Edwards’ leadership in elevating the standard of care for structural heart patients and improving outcomes across the care continuum.”
