Pacitti succeeds Joe Woody, who announced his retirement last October after seven years in the corner office. Michael Greiner served as interim CEO at the Alpharetta, Georgia-based company for the past several months.
Avanos Medical’s new CEO joins with significant experience in the healthcare sector. He most recently served as president of Siemens Medical Solutions USA and as head of the Americas for Siemens Healthineers. In that role, he helped drive strategic growth and operational excellence while leading marketing, sales, service and support functions in North America and Latin America across the entire Siemens Healthineers portfolio. That includes medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, therapy solutions and services.

Before joining Siemens Healthineers in 2015, Pacitti held leadership roles at Abbott Vascular. That included the post of divisional VP of U.S. commercial operations, sales and marketing. He oversaw several key launches, including the company’s first drug-eluting stent franchise and structural heart franchise.
Pacitti also serves as chair of the AdvaMed Imaging Technology Division’s board of directors.
