McEvoy will remain with J&J into 2024. The company — the world’s second-largest medical device manufacturer — has named Tim Schmid as her replacement.
“I’ve appreciated Ashley’s steady leadership and vision for AdvaMed and our entire industry for more than five years as an active, thoughtful member of our board and as our chair,” AdvaMed President and CEO of AdvaMed Whitaker said in a statement emailed to MassDevice. “She is an exceptional leader. I know I speak for everyone on the Board and the entire AdvaMed team when I say we will miss working alongside her, but we look forward to her next chapter, which I know will be exciting and impactful.”
