Privately held orthopedic device giant Arthrex is in the process of expanding its Ave Maria, Florida campus — just 30 miles east of its Naples headquarters.
In an email to MassDevice, a spokesperson confirmed details originally shared with the Naples Daily News.
The Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. East (AMIE) manufacturing campus in Ave Maria presently has 420,000 square feet. The new expansion will boost the total to 511,000 square feet, adding an 11,000-square-foot employee childcare center and an 80,000-square-foot warehouse.
The work is slated for completion at the end of the year.
Out of 11,000 employees worldwide — 7,000 in the U.S. and Canada — 2,100 people work at the AMIE campus.

Late last year, it announced it had broken ground on a new sterilization facility at its Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC) campus — boosting its vertically integrated manufacturing strategy by introducing in‑house X‑ray sterilization for a growing number of products.
