An Abbott (NYSE: ABT) official took to social media today to share that the company added Laralab to its portfolio of digital offerings.
Sandra Lesenfants, SVP of Abbott’s Structural Heart division, posted on LinkedIn to share the news of the addition.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Laralab’s talented team to Abbott and together expand the reach of heart.ai —an innovative, cloud-based cardiac imaging technology that empowers clinicians in planning structural heart interventions.”
Abbott — one of the largest medtech companies in the world — did not disclose the details of the deal to add Laralab and its technology.

Munich, Germany-based Laralab develops AI-powered imaging offerings for interventional cardiology. It received FDA 510(k) clearance for its platform in April. At the time, the company said it made its platform the first and only fully automated AI platform for comprehensive CT analysis across all key areas of structural heart – including the mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valves, as well as cardiac chambers.
Laralab built its platform on deep learning technology to enable high-precision anatomical assessment from standard CT data. It supports clinical decision-making and procedural planning for transcatheter procedures like TAVR, TMVR and TTVR.
“Bringing Laralab to Abbott reinforces our commitment to deliver digital tools and devices that optimize procedures, support better outcomes, and deliver a streamlined experience for providers throughout the care journey,” Lesenfants concluded.
