The strategic partnership, announced yesterday, makes Buffalo, New York–based Firefly a non-exclusive distributor of Santa Clara, California–based Zeto’s headset. The collaboration also includes the integration of Firefly’s proprietary Brain Network Analytics (BNA) technology with the EEG platforms, presently used in more than 200 hospitals and neurology offices across the country.
“This collaboration of two progressive technology companies represents a major step forward in addressing an unmet medical need in brain health,” Firefly CEO Jon Olsen said in a news release. “By combining Zeto’s innovative hardware with our proprietary BNA technology, this partnership will offer healthcare providers deeper insights into neurological conditions that will ultimately improve patient outcomes.”
According to Zeto, its EEG headsets — WR19 and Zeto ONE — are FDA-cleared, full-montage, and easy to use. The goal is to make brain monitoring accessible across a wide variety of settings. Think the ICU, emergency department, hospital, office, and home. The headsets are supported by a cloud-based platform that supports nationwide monitoring and interpretation services by neurologists. There are also AI-powered seizure detection and video capabilities.
Zeto founder and CEO Aswin Gunasekar said integrating BNA with the EEG platforms will “advance our mission of positively impacting patients’ lives through transformative, user-friendly, and best-in-class solutions.”
